Corfield Woods Motorsport set for World Series Sprintcars Debut.

Saturday, 5th December is going to be a huge weekend for motorsport here in Sydney. Not only will there be the first ever V8 Supercar Street Race but the World Series Sprintcars tour is coming to race at Sydney’s Tyrepower Parramatta City Raceway for the first time this season.

Put simply, World Series Sprintcars is regarded as Australia’s own version of the famed American World of Outlaws series.

The event, set to be staged on December 5th will also be the first time that the Corfield Woods Motorsport has been part of Australia’s elite speedway racing series.

“The team is definitely looking forward to this amazing opportunity. It will yet again provide us with the opportunity to impress our sponsors during the biggest single night event on the calendar. To date this season, Corfield Woods Motorsport has endured its best season to date with team driver, Matt Young behind the wheel,” remarked team owner, Gary Corfield.

“To be part of the World Series for this round is a great opportunity as you get the chance to race against Australia's top sprintcar drivers. As a driver you can learn so much from racing with those guys, so I’m really looking forward to my World Series Sprintcars debut.  I really need to thank the entire Corfield Woods Motorsport team for providing me with such a great car for this event,” said Young.

Currently, Matt and the Corfield Woods Motorsport team sits in 19th position after five rounds being completed of the 2009/2010 Tyrepower Parramatta City Raceway schedule.
